Autographed Butterfly Schlager Carbon blade with 8 Signatures

Description

This blade is the culmination of my various visits to the US Open pro tournament events over the years. I’ve been volunteering and competing in US Opens since 2008, and chasing down players to collect their autographs inbetween matches.

8 Autographs

Zoran Primorac (Croatia)

Masato Shiono (Japan)

Georgina Pota (Hungary)

Ariel Hsing (USA)

Stefan Feth (USA)

Wally Green (USA)

Adam Bobrow (USA)

Wang Zhen (Canada)

These signatures were collected on a Butterfly Schlager Carbon flared blade (mint condition, never used for play). That blade itself is discontinued and is a collector’s item that can no longer be found in shops.

This is me meeting Oh Sang Eun of Korea, at my first US Open in 2008. Sadly I didn’t get his autograph as I didn’t have the bright idea at the time. I was completely starstruck when I saw him since he was the first pro player I ever encountered in real life.

This is when I met Bastian Steger of Germany when he came to play at an exhibition match here in Markham at the CCTTA club. Again I didn’t think to get his autograph so he’s not on this blade:
